3-Way Tie (For Last)
Sealed, latest reissue of the fourth and final studio album from the short lived, but vastly influential 80's punk trio. The Minutemen's 3-Way Tie (For Last) is a political punk rock album that was released in 1985. The band, known for their distinctive "econo" approach to music, made this record following the tragic death of their friend and collaborator, D. Boon. The album's title is a reference to the three-way tie for last place in the National League West of Major League Baseball at the time of its release, a nod to the band's love for baseball.

3-Way Tie (For Last) features the Minutemen's signature sound of fast-paced, short songs with politically charged lyrics, but also showcases the band's growth in experimentation and incorporation of different genres such as funk, jazz, and spoken word. The album tackles issues such as gentrification, government corruption, and police brutality, with songs like "The Big Foist," "Political Song for Michael Jackson to Sing," and "Do You Want New Wave or Do You Want the Truth?" Overall, 3-Way Tie (For Last) is a testament to the Minutemen's legacy as one of the most influential and innovative punk bands of the 1980s.
