The Album Was Written, Recorded, And Produced By Harvey Herself In A Home Studio In Dorset, England, And She Played All Of The Instruments Except For Drums. The Album Was Named After The Title Of A Track From The 1992 PJ Harvey Album "Dry."

The Album Was Recorded During A Time Of Personal Turmoil For Harvey, Who Had Recently Ended A Long-Term Relationship. Many Of The Songs On The Album Deal With Themes Of Love And Heartbreak, As Well As The Often Difficult Process Of Self-Discovery And Growth.
