1979 2LP Original In Gatefold With Inner Sleeves. Bob Dylan At Budokan is a live album by Bob Dylan, recorded during his 1978 tour of Japan. The album features Dylan's performances at the Nippon Budokan Hall in Tokyo on February 28 and March 1, 1978. The album features a mix of classic Dylan songs, including "Blowin' in the Wind," "Like a Rolling Stone," and "Knockin' on Heaven's Door," as well as some of his lesser-known tracks. The performances on the album are characterized by a more theatrical and upbeat style, with Dylan backed by a large band, complete with backup singers and a brass section. This marked a departure from the folk and acoustic sound that Dylan was known for in the 1960s and 1970s.
