After His Successful Summer Tour Of America, The Duke Took His Men Into The Studio In New York To Record The New Compositions The Band (Bolstered By Extra Brass And Two Drummers), Had Played During The Festival Season. Features Johnny Hodges, Paul Gonsalves, Cat Anderson, Clark Terry, Joe Benjamin, Quentin Jackson And Others. Tracks Are "Perdido," "Copout Extension," "Duael Fuel, Parts 1, 2 And 3," "Idiom 59, Parts 1, 2 & 3," "Things Ain't What They Used To Be" And "Launching Pad." Outstanding Sound On A Par With "Unknown Session."
