I would certainly call this work the most impressive and complex Song Cycle of the Rock Era, that is if "Tommy" hadn See More't been the Original and thus the unavoidable template for the Lp's saga of an individual at odds with his interior and exterior environments. Floyd's version is even more complex and lush in its handling of the even larger epic saga of "Pink". Floyd pulls out all the stops and employs all the sonic tricks that they've developed through the years. But it is really no less opaque in it's story's details and continuity than"Tommy": but that is a blessing in both cases! Because it leaves room for the listeners imagination to endlessly explore and visualize the story's Fantastic aural landscape!! "Is there Anybody out there ??.... Hello. is there Anybody in there??"
