Seger, Bob
Back In '72
Rare & Collectible Vinyl Records

1973 Original. Back in ’72 captures Bob Seger before his national breakthrough, when he was still primarily a formidable Detroit-area rock figure. Recorded with contributions from the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, the album mixes hard-driving rock with soul and roots influences, including Seger’s original recording of “Turn the Page,” years before the live version became one of his signature performances. “Rosalie,” later covered by Thin Lizzy, and Seger’s take on Van Morrison’s “I’ve Been Working” add to an album that shows many of the ingredients of his later classic sound already firmly in place.
