Brotherhood
1986 US First Pressing With Album Track List Sticker On Shrink. Includes Custom Inner Sleeve. New Order’s "Brotherhood" stands as their fourth studio album, arriving at a pivotal moment when the band was refining their post-punk origins and electronic ambitions. Recorded at Britannia Row Studios in London, the album showcased the group's continued evolution from the tragic end of Joy Division, blending Peter Hook’s melodic bass lines with Bernard Sumner’s understated vocals and Gillian Gilbert’s growing synth work. Unlike their previous album "Low-Life," which balanced guitars and synthesizers, "Brotherhood" presented a deliberate division: the first half leans into guitar-driven tracks while the second explores electronic textures, encapsulating New Order’s dual identity. "Brotherhood" yielded the enduring single "Bizarre Love Triangle," which, despite moderate chart performance at the time, became a defining track both in dance clubs and the band’s own legacy. The album’s interplay between rock and dance elements reflected the mid-1980s musical landscape, where genres were increasingly interwoven.
