Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers
Long After Dark
Rare & Collectible Vinyl Records

1982 original with inner sleeve. Long After Dark finds Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tightening their sound without losing the directness that made the band so effective. It was the first Heartbreakers album with Howie Epstein on bass and backing vocals, adding another strong harmony voice to the group. “You Got Lucky” became the album’s signature hit, while “Change of Heart,” “Straight Into Darkness,” and “Deliver Me” show Petty working comfortably between hard-edged rock, power pop, and the darker songwriting suggested by the album’s title.
