A defining pillar of heavy metal and one of the most influential rock albums of the 1970s, Paranoid captures Black Sabbath at full force—raw, relentless, and creatively ascendant. Recorded quickly in 1970 yet steeped in atmosphere, the album delivers a run of genre-shaping tracks including “War Pigs,” “Iron Man,” and the immortal title cut.

Tony Iommi’s riffs carve out the foundation of modern metal, while Geezer Butler’s lyrics and Bill Ward’s thunderous drumming frame Ozzy Osbourne’s unmistakable vocals with striking weight and clarity. A cornerstone of any serious rock collection and a landmark recording whose impact continues to echo across generations of heavy music.
