Sealed 1984 Original. Cut Out Hole. “Preacher Jack Was The Alias Of Wildman Pianist John Lincoln Coughlin, A Self-Taught Performer With An Encyclopedic Knowledge Of Classic Honky Tonk, Rockabilly And Boogie-Woogie. Earning A Cult Following During The 1960s And 1970s While Enjoying An Extended Stay Performing At A Club In Boston's North Shore Area, He Eventually Came To The Attention Of Rocker George Thorogood, Who Helped Him Win A Contract With Rounder Records. Preacher Jack Debuted In 1980 With The LP Rock'n'Roll Preacher, Followed In 1986 By 3000 Barrooms Later; While He Did Not Record Again For A Decade, He Remained A Constant On The Honky-Tonk Circuit, And By 1997 Had Earned Enough Of A Cult Following To Return To The Studio To Cut Non-Stop Boogie.” – Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
