Electric Light Orchestra
Face The Music
1981 2nd Issue. Released in September 1975, "Face the Music" represents a pivotal moment in Electric Light Orchestra’s evolution, marking their transition from symphonic experimentation toward a more mainstream rock sound. Following the departure of bassist Mike de Albuquerque, the band welcomed Kelly Groucutt and violinist Mik Kaminski, whose contributions brought fresh dynamics to ELO’s signature blend of rock and orchestral arrangements. Jeff Lynne, the band's creative force, produced the album, which features a more accessible approach compared to their previous work, "Eldorado." The record was crafted at Musicland Studios in Munich, and its polished sound reflects both the band’s technical growth and the influence of contemporary recording innovations.
