Giraldo Rodríguez was a master percussionist from Havana, Cuba who played a key role in the development of Afro-Cuban music. He was a virtuoso on the bata drums, which are used in religious ceremonies and other cultural events. The "AFRO" album is a classic example of Afro-Cuban music.
