As Joni furthered her exploration into jazz-fusion she incorporated some of jazz fusion's pioneers to back her on this album, Jaco Pastorius, Wayne Shorter and drummer Peter Erskine who were all members of the ground breaking fusion band Weather Report. This is her last album to go gold.
