The project was born from sessions at Indiana University, where members Durand Jones, Aaron Frazer, and Blake Rhein met and bonded over their love of classic soul and R&B. Recorded on a modest budget primarily during after-hours in campus studios, the album captured the raw energy and authenticity of the group’s initial chemistry. The record features Jones’s gritty vocals and Frazer’s falsetto, blending seamlessly with vintage arrangements and instrumentation that draw inspiration from the deep soul of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
