2006 Gatefold Reissue; EU Import. Beautiful Glossy Laminated Jacket. Side A Has A Label Printing Error Where The First Label Application Was Off-Center And Slightly Into The Deadwax. A Secondary Label Was Applied Correctly Over The Top(See Scan). The Self-Titled Album "Eagles" By The Band Of The Same Name Was Released On June 1, 1972. The Eagles Were A Rock Band Formed In Los Angeles In 1971, And Their Debut Album Was Recorded At Olympic Studios In London. The Album Was Produced By Glyn Johns And Released By Asylum Records.

The Album Featured The Hit Singles "Take It Easy" And "Witchy Woman" Which Both Made It Into The Top 20 Of The Billboard Hot 100 Chart. The Album Also Includes Notable Tracks Such As "Peaceful Easy Feeling" And "Earlybird". The Album Was A Commercial Success, Reaching No. 22 On The Billboard 200 Chart.

The Album's Sound Was A Blend Of Country And Rock, With Elements Of Folk And Pop. The Band's Songwriting Was Heavily Influenced By The Laurel Canyon Scene Of The Late 1960s And Early 1970s, Which Included Artists Such As Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Joni Mitchell, And Jackson Browne.

Despite Receiving Mixed Reviews Upon Its Release, The Album Has Since Been Recognized As A Classic And A Cornerstone Of The Country Rock Genre. In 2020, It Was Ranked 368th On Rolling Stone's List Of The 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time.
