1981 Japan King Pressing Without Obi. The self-titled album "Hank Mobley" was initially released in 1957 on the Blue Note label. It was the debut album of American jazz tenor saxophonist Hank Mobley, who had previously played with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach, and Art Blakey. The album features a stellar lineup of musicians, including Bill Hardman on trumpet, Curtis Porter on alto saxophone, Paul Chambers on bass, Sonny Clark on piano and Art Taylor on drums. It contains five tracks, one of which is an original by Mobley.

The album was well received by critics and fans at the time of its release and is now considered a classic of the hard bop genre. It showcases Mobley's smooth and lyrical style of playing and highlights his impressive improvisational skills.
