Legs
Beautiful 1981 Original 12" EP in shrink. Released in 1985, "Legs" is not an album but rather an extended play (EP) and single by the British avant-garde synthpop group Art of Noise, known for their pioneering use of digital sampling and experimental production techniques. "Legs" appeared during a transitional period for the group, following their influential debut album "Who's Afraid of the Art of Noise?" and before key members left and the group shifted to a new direction. The track “Legs” itself showcased their signature style—layering fragmented beats, processed instrumentals, and manipulated sounds to create a collage-like musical experience. At the time, Art of Noise was pushing the boundaries of what constituted pop and electronic music, with "Legs" serving as a testament to their innovative approach and deft use of emergent technology such as the Fairlight CMI sampler.
