Having Debuted In Berlin And New York By The Age Of Seventeen, He Dropped Out Of Sight. Fifty Years And Nine Marriages Later, He Resurfaced In A Los Angeles Flop House. Coaxed Into A Liszt Recital At A Los Angeles Church In 1973 And 1974, This Recording (Half Of Which Was Recorded On A Cheap Cassette Deck) Stands As Perhaps The Most Intense Performance Ever Recorded With A Power And A Spirituality Beyond Anything Else In The Realm Of Modern Experience And During Which, Many Critics Believe He Resurrected The Spirit Of Liszt Just Once In Our Time.
