SCAN 1980 US 10" EP, 33 1/3RPM. Their Debut EP On I.R.S. Oingo Boingo was an American new wave band formed in 1972 in Los Angeles, California. The band was originally called The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo, and was founded by brothers Richard and Danny Elfman. The band's early music was characterized by a mixture of rock, ska, and cabaret influences. In 1980, they released their first album, "Only a Lad," which included the hit single of the same name. Over the next two decades, Oingo Boingo released numerous albums and toured extensively. They were known for their energetic live performances, which often included elaborate stage setups and costumes.
