1972 Original RCA Hollywood Pressing, On Dynaflex Vinyl. "Picks On The Hits" is an album by the American guitarist Chet Atkins, released in 1961. It features Atkins' instrumental versions of popular songs from the time, including "Take Five," "Satin Doll," and "Georgia on My Mind." Atkins was a highly respected and influential guitarist, known for his unique fingerpicking style and innovative use of studio techniques. He began his career as a session musician in Nashville in the 1940s, playing on recordings by artists such as Hank Williams and Elvis Presley. In the 1950s and 1960s, Atkins released a series of popular instrumental albums that helped to popularize the guitar as a solo instrument. "Picks On The Hits" was one of his most successful albums, reaching number 6 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Atkins continued to record and perform throughout his career, earning numerous awards and honors for his contributions to music. He died in 2001, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most influential guitarists of all time.
