Primitive Man
1982 Original with inner sleeve. Released in September 1982, "Primitive Man" is the second studio album by Australian synth-pop band Icehouse, which at the time was essentially a solo project for frontman Iva Davies. Following the critical and commercial success of their debut, Davies took creative control, writing, producing, and performing most of the album himself. The recording process took place in both Sydney and London, with Davies collaborating with British producer Keith Forsey. This marked a significant stylistic shift from the rock-oriented approach of their first album, embracing a more polished, electronic sound that reflected the influence of the burgeoning new wave movement.
