J. Henry Burnett / T-Bone Burnett

The B-52 Band & The Fabulous Skylarks
1972 Original hot stamper with inner sleeve. Cover is strong with light smudging with "Sample Copy" stamped on back. J. Henry Burnett, better known as T Bone Burnett, released "The B-52 Band & The Fabulous Skylarks" in 1972, marking his first full-length album. At this time, Burnett was emerging from the Texas music scene, having already collaborated with musicians like Delbert McClinton and further cementing his roots in country, rock, and folk traditions. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, produced by Burnett himself, and released on UNI Records. Notably, Burnett used his birth name, J. Henry Burnett, for the release, only adopting "T Bone" professionally later in his career. The album features a blend of original compositions and covers, showcasing his early songwriting voice alongside the musicianship of his supporting band.
