Bartholomew, Dave

The Monkey
1985 Original mono pressing. The jazz bandleader, trumpeter, composer, producer, arranger and Hall Of Famer found his fame in RnB as he became the A&R representative for Imperial Records in New Orleans and recorded a young pianist named Fats Domino in 1949 performing 'The Fat Man', which launched Domino's career. Bartholomew wrote over 4000 songs. The 14 tracks on this album offer a sharp curation of his most essential, era-defining hits.
