"Atom Heart Mother" is the fifth studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on October 2, 1970, by Harvest Records. It features the 23-minute title track, which takes up the entire first side of the LP and is a suite in six parts, blending rock, orchestral, and choral elements. This ambitious composition showcases the band's experimental approach, utilizing brass, choir, and complex structuring that marked their transition from psychedelic rock towards more progressive rock tendencies.
