Recorded at Studio G in Brooklyn and produced by band member Aaron Frazer along with engineer Eli Paperboy Reed, the album features a lush, analog sound that draws inspiration from classic soul records of the late 1960s and early 1970s. With lead vocals shared between Jones and Frazer, the group’s harmonies and instrumentation recall the likes of Curtis Mayfield and The Impressions, blending political consciousness and romantic lyricism.
