Sealed 2018 Record Store Day Exclusive Pressed On 180gm Pink Marbled Vinyl. Sun Ra, Born Herman Blount In 1914 In Birmingham, Alabama, Was A Prolific Jazz Composer, Bandleader, And Pianist Known For His Experimental And Innovative Approach To Jazz Music. He Formed The Arkestra In The 1950s And Developed A Unique Sound That Blended Elements Of Swing, Bebop, Free Jazz, And Avant-garde Music.

Track 1 Was Recorded Around 1955 In His Apartment And Was One Of Sun Ra's Earliest Recordings And Originally Released On Dreams Come True. Tracks A2-b3 Recorded At The Choreographer's Workshop Rehearsal Space Late 1962 Or Early 1963. Tracks A2-b2 Originally Released On The Invisible Shield. Track B3 Is Included On The 2014 Reissue The Invisible Shield. It Features A More Traditional Jazz Sound Than Some Of His Later Work, But Still Showcases His Unique Style And Improvisational Approach.

Over The Course Of His Career, Sun Ra Released Over 100 Albums And Was One Of The Most Influential And Visionary Figures In Jazz Music. He Passed Away In 1993, But His Legacy Continues To Inspire And Influence Musicians Today.
